I love the Albin on both sides. It just feels like one of those openings one could spend a lifetime playing and studying and never lose interest :)

I think probably the highest rated player I have seen be as adventurously innovative & into new ideas that can be really far out ...but they generally work out, tho maybe walking a fine line. Perhaps its just that on one else understands or expects them~? For eg getting hit with an Albin Counter-gambit. But really looking back, even Max Euwe, despite his win against it, can't say it didnt give him a thinking game. Thanks bogg, I'll have to look at some of those Moro's!

Sergey Karjakin of Ukraine is in third, while Alexei Shirov of Spain is bringing up the rear. The Final Chess Masters is supposed to bring together the top finishers in four of the top chess tournaments of the year: Corus, Linares, M-Tel and Nanjing Pearl Spring. Karjakin won Corus earlier this year, Grischuk won Linares and Shirov won M-Tel.
